Code of Conduct
All Powerchange Associates agree to:
- Be trustworthy, working with integrity, accountability and responsibility, guided by the stated values of Powerchange
- Protect the dignity and privacy of clients and potential clients as free and equal individuals in accordance with the Powerchange Coaching Agreement and as required by Law
- Respect the commercial confidentiality and integrity of Powerchange by not divulging business information or using the logo, branding, name Powerchange without the written approval of a Director of the Company
- Actively support and encourage other Powerchange associates and work for the good of all
- Promote the understanding and benefits of coaching in general and the good name of Powerchange in particular
- Comply with both the spirit and the letter of any agreements made with clients, potential clients, professional colleagues and Powerchange
- Make commercial agreements with clients and potential clients that are clear, fair and will benefit all parties to such agreements
- Present levels of status, title, competence and experience honestly, without misrepresentation or deception
- Obtain permission from any client or potential client before releasing their names as referees
- Personally demonstrate the benefits of regular coaching by continuing to maintain and improve their own professional development in accordance with Powerchange’s current policies
- Recommend different coaches or resources when these are perceived to be more appropriate to the clients’ needs
- Advise Powerchange and the client of any apparent conflicts of interests immediately they are foreseen
- Maintain adequate Professional Liability Insurance, and any other insurances necessary to protect the interests of all stakeholders
- Gain the consent of parent, guardian or teacher as appropriate before coaching people who have not yet reached their 18th birthday
- Comply with national and international Law on all matters related to coaching
- Ensure that all advertisements and promotional materials are in compliance with the requirements of the UK Advertising Standards Authority, making no claims of outcomes that cannot be substantiated
- Share skills and experience with fellow associates of Powerchange to further increase Powerchange’s body of knowledge, skills and competencies
- Honour all copyrights, agreements, work, intellectual property, and trademarks giving credit where it is due
- Use the training, definitions and materials provided by Powerchange as the basis for all coaching procedures, practices and objectives whilst in any way functioning as an associate of Powerchange
- Provide a free copy of this Code to clients on request.
